Words have energy.
I attended a retreat this weekend. It was beautiful. As a healer and coach, I spend a lot of time helping my clients with their challenges, so it was beautiful to rest and recharge. I played a small part in the delivery of the event by talking about Money Manifesting, but aside from that, I fully participated in the rest of the day.
One of the women who attended was struggling with her mobility and I heard her say, ‘Old age and poverty.’ I’m like, what??
She said that her mum used to say that a lot when she was little.
And she believed it.
Of course, it’s just not true.
This poor woman had terrible arthritis, and because she believed this saying, she had absorbed it into her energy system. Her subconscious believed it, and she was manifesting it. She also said that she had been to the doctor, and he’d prescribed co-codamol.
There are so many things going on in this situation that I’d like to address.
Firstly, the prescription is not getting to the bottom of the issue. It’s simply a sticking plaster.
The next thing is that to get to the bottom of this situation, this beautiful woman needed to look at everything that she was putting into her body.
Physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
I gave her a super green recipe to help alkaline her body. In my experience, arthritis can get inflamed by the acid that we have in our system.
Acidic foods such as processed foods, sugar, and alcohol can aggravate the situation.
I am not her energy healer but if I were, I would encourage her to look at her language and reframe her thoughts. This can be tricky when we’ve been playing out these beliefs for the whole of our lives.
You might catch yourself saying something to your children, that sounds like what your parents used to say to you. Phrases like…..
‘You have to work hard for a living.’
‘Money doesn’t grow on trees’
‘I’m always so tired.’
‘Don’t get too big for your boots’
We are currently in the second week of my course which is called, Your Self-worth is Your Self-worth and this week, the subject is about breaking patterns, so it was very timely.
I asked the women on the course, to capture all their statements and then we have a powerful process to change their thinking. Over the eight weeks, they collect all their limiting beliefs in a dedicated Liming Belief Bucket, and during the last week of the course, we release them and let them go.
It is transformational work.
Be mindful of the stories that you tell yourself gorgeous, and be your own best cheerleader.
